Windows Phone Bisa Ungguli Blackberry di Kalangan Pebisnis

Written on 20.10 by Unknown

Nokia Explains How Wireless Charging Works

Written on 20.54 by Unknown

Wireless charging has been around for a several years now, but it’s never really been that good. Until now, that is. The Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 (with the aid of the recharging shell) are the first Nokia smartphones to support this new feature, making charging your phone even easier than before.

All you have to do is place your phone onto a Nokia Wireless Charging Plate, Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by Fatboy, Nokia Wireless Charging Stand, or even the JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker for Nokia to begin the charging process. It’s as simple as that.
But what is wireless charging? It’s a rather simplistic question, but we should probably answer it just to make sure that everybody knows.
Wireless charging is a method of transmitting energy through the air to an electrical device for the purpose of charging it.
Basically, in relation to smartphones, this means that your phone will be charged without having to plug the wire into your phone.
While this all sounds very simple as far as us consumers are concerned, it’s actually a very technical process.
The diagram below shows the basic principles of inductive power transmission.

A transmitter coil is positioned at the bottom (L1) and the receiver coil (L2) is situated at the top and these coils are embedded into different electrical devices. L1 would be the Nokia Wireless Charging Plate and L2 would be the Nokia Lumia 920, for example.
An alternating current in the transmitter coil generates a magnetic field, which induces a voltage in the receiver coil. This voltage is then used to charge up the device.
Nokia has adopted the Qi (pronounced chi) standard in their wireless charging devices. Qi was created by the Wireless Power Consortium and is used by over 100 different companies around the world, and is the only globally adopted interface. Plus, because it’s used globally, you’ll be able to charge up wirelessly in different places around the world.
Nokia already has partnerships with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Virgin Atlantic that will allow users of Nokia’s upcoming Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 to charge up using table-top wireless charging stations.
When you’re at home (or at work), though, there are several wireless charging devices that we’ve already mentioned above. These all provide the same function of charging your phone wirelessly, but they are designed for people with different needs.
The Nokia Wireless Charging Plate is designed to be the standard, but attractive, charging option, while the Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by Fatboy is designed for people who like to stand out from the crowd while wanting something a little quirkier. The Nokia Wireless Charging Stand is great for people that want to charge their phone and still use their phone to video calls, or to run certain apps for example. Then there’s the JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker for Nokia that stops your phone from running empty when listening to your favourite tunes.
Whatever wireless charging device suits you, you only need to place your phone on the device in order to charge it.
Nokia has worked hard to make wireless charging easier to use than other manufacturers of wireless charging devices. Nokia has increased the active charging area to over 80 per cent on the wireless charging plate, meaning you should just be able to put the phone down to charge and not worry about it being ‘spot on’.
All of the wireless charging gadgets will be available at the time of launch of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 from either the retailer you buy the phone from, or from all good online retailers.

Windows Phone Will Surpass Blackberry OS

Written on 20.45 by Unknown

Research shows that Windows Phone now had a market share of 5.0% in Europe for the 12 weeks leading up to September 2nd, an increase of 31.6% from last year. During that same period, RIM's BlackBerry share fell from 12.2% to 6.4% according to Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.
Global consumer insight director at Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, Dominic Sunnebo, said,Windows is making steady progress in the big European economies and is now challenging BlackBerry for third spot in the European OS league. With the momentum Windows 8 will bring towards the end of 2012, it seems highly likely that it will achieve this before the end of the year.

Several Windows Phone 8 devices are to be released before the end of this year, such as the Samsung ATIV S, Nokia Lumia 920, and HTC's Windows Phone 8X. Microsoft will be hoping these devices will push Windows Phone market share higher, and hopefully past BlackBerry OS to put them at third place in the OS wars behind Apple's iOS and Google's Android.

Surface Phone,Just Rumor or A Real Plan ?

Written on 20.18 by Unknown

Surface Phone Concept
The latest rumors have Microsoft heading deeper into the hardware space and developing a phone. According to the sources over at the China Times, Microsoft has been working on the “Surface Phone” for several months and plans to release it sometime during the first half of 2013.

The reason? Well, apparently it’s because the relationship between Microsoft and their Windows Phone partners, specifically Nokia and HTC, hasn’t been working out the way they intended it and they aren’t interested in solely banking on others. Of course, this is all rumors and nothing is confirmed, but it’s not too far of a stretch to believe as Microsoft is preparing to release their own Windows 8 “Surface” tablet later this month – a product they successfully managed to keep under wraps until they unveiled it and has somewhat ruffled the feathers of WP partners.
No word on specs of the said “Surface Phone,” but in the meantime we’ll see welcome the Lumia 820, Lumia 920, Samsung ATIV S and HTC’s 8X and 8S.

Nokia Let You Try Their Lumia 920 for Two Weeks

Written on 19.30 by Unknown

Nokia is known for their non-traditional techniques for advertising and creative ways of getting their products into your hands. If you have been salivating over the Lumia 920 (or even the 900) but are not sure if the device is right for you, Nokia will let you test drive the device for two weeks.
You can get your name on the list to test drive a Lumia device by visiting the link here but note that you must agree to the company’s terms and conditions. Additionally, Nokia has been running this test-drive style promotion for some time but the confirmation the Lumia 920 will be a part of the process, has not been mentioned previously (the device will become available soon for selection on the site).
Nokia has been tossing out infographics left and right slandering the competition while they build up the hype to the Lumia 920 launch. On paper, Nokia’s device appears to be king in nearly aspects but with our marginal hands on time (and no scrolling) with Windows Phone 8, it will come down to the polish of the OS to see who the real winner is.
Head on to the source link to get yourself signed up and if you have wanted to get your hands on any of the current gen devices, Nokia can hook you up with those too.

HTC New Windows 8 Smartphone Announced

Written on 22.41 by Unknown

HTC has finally taken the wraps off their latest Windows Phone 8 device, and it comes with some interesting branding. Rather than being called the HTC 8X, it's actually called the Windows Phone 8X by HTC - a move that shows the partnership between Microsoft and HTC that dates back to the original Windows Phone devices.

Like the rumors have been pointing to for weeks, the HTC 8X comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, clocking in at 1.5 GHz across two cores and also supplemented by 1 GB of RAM. The display is a 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 Super LCD 2 panel coated with Gorilla Glass 2, and surrounded by a 10.1mm thin curved case that comes in Nokia-style colors known as "California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow".
Other specs include a rear 8-megapixel camera with a BSI sensor, f/2.0 lens and LED flash, plus a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree field-of-view; 16 GB of on-board storage and a 1,800 mAh battery. Naturally, Windows Phone 8 is on-board with some exclusive accent colors to match the hardware, plus Beats Audio enhancement.
The HTC 8X (or Windows Phone 8X by HTC) will be coming to T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T "within days" of the Windows Phone 8 release at the end of October, meaning it should be on the shelves right at the start of November.
