The rumor was Apple would send out invitations for its iPad mini launch two days ago, but nothing happened. Today, John Paczkowski from AllThingsD, citing unnamed sources inside Apple, tells us the event will actually take place on October 23rd, just three days before Microsoft unveils its own Surface tablet. AllthingsD has a strong record on predicting these types of events and Tracour pegs them with a 91% accuracy rating, so take this rumor with a bit for weight as it is likely accurate.
The iPad mini rumor keeps coming back every year, but this time it has finally got some strong backers, especially The Wall Street Journal who keep citing "people familiar with the matter". It was them that broke the story a few days ago that production of the new tablet had finally begun with Apple demanding 10 million tablets from its suppliers.
As far as we know the iPad mini - not the official name - will be sporting a 7.85 inch LCD display, with a resolution equal to that of the iPad 2: 1024x768, so no retina display. It will also come with Apple's new Lightning connector, and presumably it will be thinner than the current iPad.
The launch on October 23rd seems to be somewhat impromptu, with Apple trying to beat Microsoft to the punch. Microsoft will also be launching its own tablet, the Surface RT, on the 26th. Paczkowski speculates that having already had a major event this fall, Apple will refrain itself and host an invite-only, close to home, intimate launch for their new device.

Co-founder Apple, Steve Wozniak, berharap iPhone 5 tidak hanya sebuah iPhone 4S yang memiliki ukuran lebih tinggi saja. Ia berpendapat bahwa Apple telah arogan dengan keputusannya yang hanya memproduksi satu ukuran iPhone. Lebih lanjut ia mengatakan bahwa Apple harusnya memproduksi perangkat yang lebih kecil (seperti iPhone 4S dan sebelumnya) dan juga yang lebih besar (tidak hanya lebih tinggi, namun juga lebih lebar/luas) untuk perangkat mereka yang populer.
Pada sebuah interview melalui TechCentral, Wozniak berbicara tentang apa yang seharusnya Apple lakukan dengan iPhone 5. Ia percaya Apple harusnya sadar bahwa mereka telah membuat satu keputusan yang tidak tepat dengan memproduksi iPhone 5 yang hanya memiliki perbedaan tinggi dari iPhone 4S :

Sudah jelas bahwa akan muncul tablet berukuran kecil yang memiliki harga yang terjangkau dari Apple, yakni iPad mini yang akan memiliki layar berukuran 7.85-inci. Meskipun Apple sendiri masih belum mau berkomentar tentang kapan perangkat ini akan dirilis, namun sepertinya banyak orang setuju jika tablet yang dibuat Apple ini menjadi senjata mereka di pasar tabet 7-inci dengan harga yang lebih terjangkau. iPad akan berhadapan dengan Nexus 7 milik Google dan Amazon Kindle Fire HD.
Kemungkinan perangkat ini akan dipatok dengan harga sekitar $250 saja di daerah Amerika. Ada juga spekulasi yang muncul bahwa salah satu pabrik yang membuat tablet tersebut terpaksa merubah hasil produksinya dikarenakan perubahan permintaan yang dilakukan secara mendadak oleh Apple.

After failing to show the iPad Mini at the iPhone event on September 12th, Apple’s most recent worst kept secret is getting more screen time with images showing up online, thanks to Twitter user Sonny Dickson and his Instagram.
There’s not much here to see other than what Neowin have already seen of the device so far. The photos on Dickson’s Twitter do match the previous leaked images and confirm the inclusion of a rear camera, lightning connector and rear microphone.
Unlike Business Insider, Neowin wouldn’t say this is the ‘most convincing’ photographs yet. They are good images for sure, but again, nothing over what's already been snapped. Show us the front of the device! Actually, show us the front of the device with iOS running on it and that would be as close to convincing as you could get. As it’s only the back of the device, Dickson might only have the housing, or more specifically, the back of the Mini.
The rumour mill is going wild, with invitations to Apple’s latest launch event reportedly being sent this week and that the Mini could be on the shelves from November 2nd.

Temuan versi firmware iOS 6 memperkuat indikasi adanya varian baru daripada iPhone 4. Firmware ini memiliki nama kode iPhone 3,2 yang dijadwalkan sudah dapat diunduh tanggal 19 September kemarin, namun hingga kini belum juga sampai ke tangan ke pengembang. Biasanya nama kode firmware iPhone 4 untuk versi GSM 3,1 dan untuk CDMA 3,3.
Seperti apa spesifikasi iPhone 4 baru ini masih belum diketahui, ada beberapa kemungkinan perubahan yang dilakukan seperti yang dilakukan ke iPad 2, dimana mendapatkan peningkatan sirkuit yang memperbaiki manajemen baterai. Ada pula kemungkinan iPhone 4 akan menjadi perangkat world phone ,sehingga dapat beroperasi di dua jaringan yaitu CDMA atau GSM. Kemungkinan lain iPhone 4 akan hadir untuk operator yang sebelumnya tidak mendapat dukungan seperti T-Mobile USA atau China Mobile.

iPad 3,6 hadir setelah tiga jenis iPad generasi ketiga yang sudah ada dipasaran yang memiliki kode 3,1, 3,2, dan 3,3, setiap kode tersebut menandakan spesifikasi tersendiri yang berkisar dengan operator mana iPad tersebut dijual. Dalam catatan tersebut juga didapati kode iPad 2,5 dan iPad 2,6, yang membuat kita bertanya-tanya apakah Apple akan melakukan update keluarga iPad yang ada secara serentak. Jika benar, berarti Apple akan tetap menawarkan tablet dengan resolusi layar standar berukuran 9,7 inci sebagai pilihan tablet terjangkau untuk pasar, atau bisa juga iPad mini akan dikategorikan ke iPad 2 oleh Apple.

After releasing iPhone 5 earlier, now rumor said that Apple now focusing on an iPad with smaller size,that is iPad mini. Apple has yet to announce plans to make a tablet with a reduced screen size but the plethora of leaks all lead towards a screen size of 7.85-inches, with it being announced sometime late October.
Fortune Magazine has chimed in today stating that a “major Apple investor” has heard from “multiple sources” that the media can expect to have an invitation in their inboxes on October 10th, potentially followed by a media event on Wednesday, October 17th, then availability hitting retailers Friday, November 2nd.
Although many media has already spread this rumor, Apple still declining to comment on the rumor.

Comparison between Google Maps vs Apple Maps
Apple Maps, It has made Apple receive many complain from their customers that express their disappointment for the new Maps that Apple attached in new iOS 6 because it is inaccurate and unclear to show you the exact place that you would like to visit. The Apple founder, Steve Wozniak also express his disappointment after trying the maps himself. Apple has made a controversial decision to attached a totally new maps that they made in the new iOS 6 because many people thought that Apple has never made such a totally new thing such as a maps and immediately attach it at iOS 6, Me myself think that Apple must find a quick solution for this problem, and the fastest way to solve this problem is to use back Google Maps as they maps software and at that moment they improve their own maps because it's such a gamble that you preserve the Apple Maps in the iOS 6 with many errors. Although Apple decided to release an update for the maps i think i will not fix the problem perfectly. So, Apple must consider to make a deal again with Google for the Maps software while they focusing to fix and improve their own maps.

With a lot of folks getting their hands on the iPhone 5 for the first time today, there are understandably a lot of drop tests hitting YouTube. One of the more interesting drop tests comes from the folks at Android Authority, who pitted the iPhone 5 against the Samsung Galaxy S III. The results of the test are definitely surprising, so this is one that you’ll absolutely want to check out.
In an effort to make this drop test as realistic as possible, the phones were dropped from various heights. First, the phones were dropped from a height around two-and-a-half feet to simulate a user dropping their phone while pulling it out of their pocket. In the second part of the test, the phones were both dropped from a height of four feet, which simulates a drop while you’re putting the phone up to you ear to answer a call. With the third round, both phones were dropped from ear height, which is about 5’6″ in this case. Finally, the iPhone 5 was dropped from a height of around 5’10″ – the Galaxy S III sat this test out, sadly.
After the first round, both phones were still on an equal playing field. Though the cases on both suffered some scratches, neither phone showed any damage on the screen. The second test wasn’t so kind on the Galaxy S III – while the iPhone’s screen remained unscathed after the second the test, the Galaxy S III landed on its upper left corner, which shattered the top part of the screen. The good news is that the Galaxy S III’s touch screen was still functioning after the impact, so at least there’s that.
With the third test, the Galaxy S III suffered even more damage while the iPhone 5 remained in tact. The battery cover on the Galaxy S III flew off when the phone hit the ground, and the drop caused the screen to crack even more. When it came time to drop the iPhone 5 from 5’10″, once again the screen didn’t give. At the end of everything, the iPhone 5 held up suprisingly well, with only a few scuffs on the sides and corners and a few dents in the aluminum on the back.
Of course, with drop tests it’s always a crapshoot. Sometimes phones will drop on a corner, which is usually enough to crack the screen, and other times it won’t, making it hard to gauge just how well a phone holds up when dropped. Still, this drop test should give us a general idea of how resilient the iPhone 5 is, and it seems to safe to say that it’s quite a bit tougher than the delicate iPhones of the past. Saat iPhone 5 diluncurkan, para jailbreakers banyak yang khawatir akan nasib jailbreak di processor A6 dan iOS 6 yang baru ini.
Tidak sepertinya kekhawatiran para jailbreakers ini tidak terlalu beralasan. Karena kenyataannya, para ahli di bidang jailbreak ternyata tidak perlu bekerja lama-lama untuk dapat menembus sistem dari iPhone 5 dengan iOS 6 ini.
Seperti bisa kita lihat pada gambar di bawah, iPhone 5 dengan iOS 6 sudah berhasil dijailbreak oleh seseorang yang bernama Grant Paul (dia bisa dikontak lewat akun twitter @Chpwn).
Sayangnya, belum ada kejelasan mengenai tipe jailbreak ini, kemungkinan besar jailbreak ini masih berupa tipe tethered. Namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa jailbreak ini sudah bertipe untethered.
Di sisi lain, juga belum ada kejelasan kapankah tools untuk jailbreak iPhone 5 dengan iOS 6 (termasuk iPhone 4S) ini akan dirilis ke publik.
